Our project Rec Liiga is a sports app targeting making the life of managing recreational leagues as easy and fast as possible. League scheduling, real time score updates, player statistics and more make sports organizations easier to engage users. Intuitive look, and the ability to create stuff for your sports teams with no sweat. Rec Liiga is one such example of providing a helping-hand to the players as well as the organizers in conducting their sports activities with full-fledged features along with user-friendly interface.

Client requirements

  • Our client needed full league management, so that it is easy to create a league-based sports solution, including auto scheduling of series games and events.
  • They informed us about right time updates, including live score tracking, player statistics and league standings to notify users and encourage them.
  • They wanted an intuitive user interface that allows an easy team management & organization of matches, as well as score registration.
  • They wanted to integrate communication tools like messaging with notifications between players, teams and organizers.
  • Our client asked for cross-device compatibility that would target more people and maintain functionality cross-device, the app needs to be available across multiple devices.

Proposed solution

The decision for us was to implement two different apps, one on Android and the other one on iOS with Flutter but making sure that both provide the same user experience on whichever device it is running. A robust data-oriented backend in NodeJS, providing safe database operations and quick API development with this tech stack, we developed a safe and user-friendly mobile app, which was very scalable to accommodate any increase in the future of our client.
